Our Story

Sok Studios is a scent-based art studio in Titirangi, Auckland, founded and run by Sojenn.

We develop bespoke fragrances for brands, host slow and intimate perfume workshops, and release small-batch limited editions. All made by hand, in small quantities, with care.

Here, scent is not an image to wear. It is a quiet, personal language. A way to discover what draws you in, what lingers long after, and what feels quietly true.

Our workshops are intentionally unhurried. There is no right answer, no masculine or feminine categories, and no need to arrive with certainty. Only your senses and a little time are asked of you.

About Sojenn

For a long time, she was searching for a language.

Growing up in Korea, Sojenn moved between writing, photography, music, tattooing, and film. Every form of expression she could find. Through it all, her sensitivity remained, uncomfortable yet persistent.

The first time she made a perfume, everything clicked into place.

Creating something invisible, something judged only by feeling, was the one place where sensing too much was not a flaw. It was everything.

In March 2025, she built a small studio in her backyard in Mount Albert. It opened in July, intimate and barely big enough for a few people. Hundreds of people still came. That was the confirmation she needed.

In May 2026, Sok Studios moved to Titirangi.
