We found our home

I still remember when I started, not thinking about running a business, just wanting to share something I loved. No strategy, no roadmap. Just a quiet belief that scent could connect people in a way words couldn't.

That was last year. What came back was more love than I knew what to do with.

I've been running Sok Studios on my own since the beginning. Marketing, client care, tax, every session, every detail you see and everything you don't. It's been a lot. And it's been the most meaningful thing I've done.

I've always been serious about space. Sok Studios didn't start in a rented room or a shared studio. It started in my backyard. I looked out at that little patch of space and imagined what it could hold, and then I built it. Literally. Because for me, a space is never just a space. Every corner means something. Nothing gets placed without intention.

Earlier this year, I started dreaming about what more could look like. And I'll be honest, there were moments when ambition pulled at me. Lower the price, reach more people, sell more. I kept asking myself: do I want to run a business, or do I want to build a brand?

The answer kept coming back the same way.

I want to build a brand. I want to build a community. I want to be a small but lasting memory in your life.

Ten months of intimate sessions for two taught me something I didn't expect. There's a kind of power in slowness. In focused attention. In a room small enough that nothing gets lost. That's the experience I want to protect and grow, not dilute.

So I let go of the idea of a city-centre space. And I made a choice that felt a little bold.

Titirangi means "fringe of heaven." The moment I walked in and saw the view, I understood why. This is where Sok Studios begins its next chapter.

We're still getting everything ready, but here's a little of what's coming in 2026:

Fragrance Workshops, Fragrance Masterpiece Workshops, Private Sessions for two, Small Group Workshops, Rice Wine Workshops, Hand Wash and Hand Cream Workshops, Mother's Day Events, and more.

Not everything is ready to share just yet. But you'll be the first to know.

See you in Titirangi.
