made of light — a year that floated brighter than I expected.

There was a year when I lived as if lit from within.

I went to Victoria with nothing but a photograph in a brochure and the feeling that my life needed to become larger than what I already knew. I swam in lakes. I watched sunsets that felt like endings. Everything was bright — so bright it felt weightless.

I was eighteen. I had no idea what I was doing.

But for the first time, the world felt entirely mine. It was my lightest year.
